Kerry Copp is the principal of See It In Colour, a Sydney based colour design and interior styling consultancy. Her love of colour and design and an eye for detail has led to a successful career in these areas.
Over the last sixteen years she has had numerous works selected for the finals of the prestigious Dulux Colour Awards in both residential and commercial categories including for her interior colour palette for clients who reside in the iconic Emil Sodersten designed Franconia apartments in Potts Point, Sydney. Two multi-density projects she did the interior and exterior finishes for have won UDIA awards including the President's overall award.
Kerry worked on the refurbishment and restoration of a grand heritage home built in 1881. The original features were maintained and she introduced a contemporary, monochromatic interior palette of grey and white with black Japan and marble floors throughout and a timeless taupe, charcoal and white palette for the exterior to bring this ‘grand dame’ into the 21st century! This home’s builder was awarded winner of the coveted Master Builders Award for heritage restoration and was also a finalist in the UDIA Awards for Excellence.
Recently, Kerry worked with clients off-the-plan on a new build residence in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, designed by Architect Carla Middleton, to create the home’s interior and exterior colour palettes and fine tune the hard surface finishes for the house. The brief was for a white house which had to be the ‘right white’ and finish to appear that it had patina and age to fit into its context and neighbourhood. Kerry introduced soft black for the exterior shutters and entry doors to provide contrast, definition and visual impact. The interiors also had to be in white and muted neutrals to provide a backdrop of light filled spaces and profile the clients beautiful furnishings and artwork. It was imperative the tones of the flooring, stone finishes and colours for kitchen and bathrooms worked seamlessly and in harmony throughout to create a sense of flow and connectedness.
Kerry specialises in residential and commercial work ranging from repainting the average family home to residential, multi-residential and commercial new builds and the refurbishment of large Strata complexes and schools for interior and exterior colour, finishes and furnishings. In addition to this, Kerry is able to assist her clients with advice on outdoor spaces as well.

These projects not only required colour palettes for the interior and exterior but selection of all finishes including, kitchen and bathroom finishes, carpets, exterior hard surfaces, staff amenities, artwork, lighting, furniture and window treatment selections.
Kerry says, the collaborative process of working with a diverse range of clients, builders, developers and architects on a variety of projects is what makes this job so enjoyable. Good colour design and finishes bring to life the clients’ vision and the architect’s design she says.
Kerry continues to work on a number of multi-residential new builds, strata refurbishments and numerous residential projects across Sydney.
